Richard Boak is a Jersey-based Consultant Speech and Language Therapist with
over 25 years of experience in autism, social communication, and acquired
neurological impairments. After working as a Senior Speech and Language
Therapist with Health and Social Services (2001-2021), Richard now runs his private
practice to meet growing demand in the Channel Islands.
He provides assessment, therapy, and consultation for children, young people and
adults with complex needs, including autism, language impairments, learning
disabilities and traumatic brain injuries. Richard is trained in ADOS, ADI-R, PECS,
TEACCH, and the SCERTS® model, and has extensive experience working with and
training professionals across education, health, and social care sectors.
He is a mentor and trainer, passionate about helping equip those working within care
environments to better support individuals with communication difficulties.
