Course content

Learn how to systematically assess an unresponsive person using the ABCDE approach to identify and manage life-threatening conditions effectively.

Understand how to accurately recognize signs of life and assess the condition of an unconscious casualty to determine the appropriate response.

Master the technique of placing an unconscious, breathing person in the recovery position to ensure an open airway and prevent choking.

Be trained to identify the absence of vital signs, crucial for initiating immediate and appropriate emergency interventions.

Gain proficiency in performing high-quality Basic Life Support (BLS), including chest compressions and ventilations, to maintain blood circulation and oxygenation during cardiac arrest.

Learn the correct and safe procedures for using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to increase the chances of survival in the event of sudden cardiac arrest.

Equip yourself with the knowledge to recognize and treat various medical emergencies that can occur in a dental setting, such as choking, cardiac events, stroke, diabetic emergencies, anaphylaxis, adrenal crisis, and sepsis.
