Administering and managing medication on behalf of your clients holds a high level of responsibility for which you are accountable for your actions. We can help you ensure you have the knowledge and skills to perform this tasks safely.

This update is essentials for any carer who holds an RQF level 2 or 3 award in medication administration.

In order to meet regulatory requirements an annual refresher is required and we have you covered.

This session takes you through the whole award in a short refresher session. You will be amazed at what you have forgotten form when you did your course!

Assessment:

Learners must complete a theory session taught by a trained nurse and supporting workbook. This together with assessment in practice area required to pass.

 

Course content:

  • Understand legislation, policy, and procedures relevant to the administration of medication.
  • Know about common types of medication and their use.
  • Understand procedures and techniques for the administration of medication.
  • Prepare for the administration of medication.

We work in partnership with TQUK to offer our learners a range of vocational qualifications under the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). This is the way of recognising achievemnet through the awarding of credits for qualifications and individual units.

Taking this approach provides a more flexible route to gaining qualifications and enables you to progress in smaller steps through the accumulation of credit.
