Precedence of Terms
In instances where there is a discrepancy between the provisions set out in these Terms and Conditions and those in the other documents mentioned above, the stipulations of these Terms and Conditions will take precedence.Binding Agreement

General Application Process
To secure your place on a course, you must meet the terms of your offer and satisfy all legal and other requirements. Offers from Care College can be conditional or unconditional, with specific conditions outlined in conditional offers.Online Course Bookings
Certain courses at Care College are available for direct booking online, requiring no specific criteria to be met prior to enrollment. These courses allow for immediate booking and payment without the need for direct intervention from Care College.Courses with Entry Criteria
For courses requiring adherence to specific criteria, applicants must meet these prerequisites as stated in the course details. Failure to meet these conditions by the specified date may result in the withdrawal of the offer for admission.Application Integrity
It is crucial that applications, whether for direct online bookings or courses with entry criteria, contain accurate and complete information. Inconsistencies, such as false or misleading details, may lead to the withdrawal of an offer or termination of enrollment.Compliance with Offer Terms
Failure to comply with any terms of an offer, including payment of deposits (if applicable) by the specified date, may result in withdrawal of the offer or termination of enrollment.Support for Disabled Applicants and Students

Course Delivery Commitment
Care College commits to using all reasonable efforts to deliver your course as per the details outlined in your offer, in accordance with the Academic Regulations and our Policies and Procedures.Learner Obligations
As a student of Care College, you are required to adhere to the following obligations:- Comply with these Terms and Conditions.
- Follow the Academic Regulations and adhere to our Policies and Procedures.
- Fulfill the academic requirements of your course, including the submission of coursework and other assignments, attendance at examinations, completion of online assessments, participation in lectures, seminars, online live classes, and any other teaching forums provided by Care College.
Payment for Studying
Payment Information
The payment details for all courses are clearly stated during the application process and are available on the webpage booking system. This transparency ensures that applicants are fully informed of the financial commitments associated with their chosen course.Payment Terms
Full payment for the course is required prior to attendance. This policy applies to all courses offered by Care College, ensuring that financial obligations are settled before the commencement of any academic activities.Fees for Non-attendance
For taught courses offered free of charge, there will be a £50 fee payable if you do not attend and do not cancel within the agreed timeframe.Cancellation Rights
Cancellation by Care College
Care College reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time with immediate effect by providing written notice under the following circumstances:- Failure by the student to meet the conditions of their offer, discovery of falsification of qualifications, material inaccuracies, or significant omissions in the application.
- Loss of the right by Care College to provide the course due to changes in relevant legislation or regulatory requirements.
- Inability to provide the course for more than one term or 16 weeks (whichever is shorter) due to a Force Majeure Event.
- Failure of the student to meet course requirements or to make sufficient academic progress as outlined in the Academic Regulations or Policies and Procedures.
- Serious breach of the Academic Regulations and/or Policies and Procedures following a disciplinary hearing.
- Material breach of the contract by the student, where the breach is correctable but remains uncorrected 14 days after notification by Care College.
Suspension from Course
In cases of suspension from the course, the student may be excluded from attending lectures, classes, or seminars, using facilities or services, submitting assessments, taking tests/examinations, or proceeding to any diploma, or other award from Care College at the college’s discretion.Post-Termination Consequences
Upon termination of the contract for any reason, the student will lose the right to attend lectures, classes, or seminars, use facilities or services, submit assessments, take tests/examinations, or proceed to any diploma, or other award from Care College.Your Cancellation Rights and Withdrawal
You have the right to cancel your contract and acceptance of a place at Care College within the specified cancellation period. This period commences from the day you accept the booking and make payment for a course at Care College.Cancellation Periods
- RQF Diplomas: 14 days
- RQF standalone awards or workshops: 7 days
- Online courses and workshops: 7 days (you must not have commenced the course)
- Classroom training: 7 days
- Mandatory training package bookings: 72 hours prior to the start of the course
Procedure for Cancellation
To cancel the contract, you must inform us in writing of your decision to cancel before the expiration of the Cancellation Period. This notification can be sent to hello@carecollege.je.Cancellation after Commencement of Services
If the services are fully performed within the Cancellation Period, your right to cancel will be forfeited upon complete provision of the services. In cases where you cancel after commencement but before completion of the services, you will be liable for the costs of services provided up to the point of cancellation. The due amount will be calculated in proportion to the total service cost against the actual services provided. Any prepayments will be refunded, subject to deductions, based on the aforementioned calculation.Refund Policy
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 5 working days and, in any event, no later than 14 calendar days following your cancellation notice. To be eligible for a refund on online courses or blended learning courses, you must not have commenced the course in any form. To be eligible for a refund on any other course booked, you must cancel within the stipulated time frame.Refunds for RQF Awards/Certificates/Diplomas/Units
For RQF Awards, Certificates, Diplomas, and standalone units, refunds will be the total course amount minus the registration fee incurred by Care College for registering the learner with the awarding body.Care College Obligations to Students
Changes to Academic Regulations, Policies, and Procedures
Care College may update its Academic Regulations and Policies and Procedures to ensure operational efficiency, legal and regulatory compliance, and alignment with students’ interests. Any changes will be communicated to students via email or through our website. These changes will not impact the core content of your course. Care College is committed to minimizing disruption to students and will take all reasonable steps to do so.Changes to Courses
While Care College endeavors to deliver courses as described, changes may be necessary due to various factors. These changes can include:- Developments in teaching practices or technology, new assessment methods.
- Necessary alterations to comply with regulatory or government requirements.
- Unavailability of key staff due to reasons such as illness or resignation, with suitable alternatives provided.
- Academic or operational decisions leading to revisions in compulsory or optional modules.
- External factors beyond our reasonable control necessitating course or module content variations.
Closure of Courses
In certain situations, Care College might be required to close a course due to:- Unavailability of a key staff member with a unique specialism that cannot be adequately covered by other staff or resources.
- Unavailability of a teaching location due to a Force Majeure Event.
- Insufficient student enrollment rendering the course financially unviable.
Liability for Acts Outside Our Control
Provision of Course
Care College is committed to delivering courses as described on our website and in the Course Information or other documents. However, events outside our control may impact our ability to deliver these courses.Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure to deliver the course arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to industrial action, severe weather, fire, civil unrest, cyber-attacks, third-party supplier defaults, invasions, terrorist activities, wars, natural disasters, government restrictions, epidemics or pandemics, or public utility or transport system failures (“Force Majeure Events”).Response to Force Majeure Events
Normally, Force Majeure Events are expected to be short term. In such cases, we will inform you of alternative actions, which may include rescheduling classes or altering delivery methods. Should a Force Majeure Event prevent course delivery for a continuous period of six weeks or more, you have the right to terminate your contract with immediate effect by contacting the College Director. Before termination, consider the transferability of academic credits and consult with the lead tutor. If you choose to terminate the contract under these circumstances, you remain liable for costs incurred up to the date of notification.Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes Care College’s liability for:- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Any other liabilities not lawfully excludable or restrictable.
Exclusions of Liability
Care College expressly excludes liability for:- Damage, theft, or loss of personal property not caused by our negligence.
- Injury or loss caused by other students or non-employees/agents of Care College.
- Consequential losses due to theft, fire, flood, computer viruses, or related computer facility issues.
- Losses due to unmet procedural requirements if the loss would not have arisen had the requirement been met.
- Failure or delay in fulfilling our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control.
- Losses not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was formed and not caused by any breach on our part.
Deferrals
Program Availability and Content Changes
In rare instances, Care College programs may become unavailable or undergo content changes from one academic year to another.Communication in Case of Deferred Offers
If you hold a deferred offer and such changes occur, Care College will promptly contact you through official channels. We will inform you of the changes and discuss available options to ensure your academic plans are minimally impacted.Complaints
Complaints Regarding Registration/Admissions Process

We expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to, warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of information, compatibility, and satisfactory quality. No refund policy is offered for website outages or downtime.Limitation of Liability
Care College accepts no liability for any disruption or non-availability of the website resulting from external causes beyond our control. These include, but are not limited to, ISP equipment failure, host equipment failure, communications network failure, power failure, natural events, acts of war, and legal restrictions or censorship.User Roles
- Customer: Standard role for individuals purchasing courses. Customers can search for courses, add them to their basket, and complete the purchase through the checkout process.
- Care Manager: In addition to customer permissions, care managers can reschedule course dates and access the invoice payment method. They can modify orders to change course dates via the ‘reschedule’ feature on their account page.
Course Purchase and Registration
Users can search for courses, register, and create an account. They can select the number of seats for a course and fill out an attendee registration form. Registration is complete once the checkout process is finalized. Packages including course coupons are also available. Course prerequisites are listed on each course page. Users must ensure they meet these prerequisites before registering.Payment and Refund Policy
Payments are handled through WooCommerce. Accepted methods include PayPal, debit/credit cards (via PayPal), and invoices. A payment plan option is available for package courses. Refund requests must be submitted at least 7 days before the course start date. Partial refunds for packages and RQF Diploma courses will be calculated manually. Customers will be informed about the refund process upon request.Course Date Changes
The reschedule feature is available via the manage courses section on user accounts. Date changes are only available to learners signed up to a mandatory training package that includes practical safe handling and first aid courses.Courses Delivered Through Blended Learning & Classroom
Blended Learning Format
Some courses at Care College are delivered through a blended learning approach, combining online elements with offline components. The offline part may include assessments or self-led tasks.Booking Assessments
It is your responsibility to book any required assessments within the timeframe stated in the course materials or on your statement of completion. We advise checking assessment availability before starting online courses that necessitate face-to-face assessments.ID Requirements for Regulated Qualifications Framework Courses
For courses on the Regulated Qualifications Framework, valid photographic ID (e.g., passport, driving license) is required at face-to-face assessments. Failure to present valid ID will result in being unable to sit the assessment, and course fees will be forfeited. Re-booking the entire course will incur full course costs.Attendance and Rebooking Policy
Care College is not liable for learners who fail to attend an assessment within the specified time. Missed assessments require repayment of the course fee to attend. Fee waivers for re-booking may be granted in exceptional circumstances at our discretion. Staffing issues are not considered exceptional circumstances.Mandatory Training Packages
Mandatory Training packages are booked in advance for a designated number of licenses, as chosen by the organisation booking. Missed courses or failure to attend are non-refundable. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all licenses are booked within the timeframe provided (Jan 1st to Dec 31st) of each year. Licenses cannot be carried across another year. Unused licenses will not be refunded. Care College will ensure there are sufficient spaces on every course throughout the year – the onus is on the customer to book early.Failed Courses
Learner Engagement
As a learner, it is your responsibility to thoroughly engage with all content and instructions provided in a course. This includes understanding and adhering to the course’s requirements and guidelines.Assessment Attempts
Courses that include assessments specify a maximum number of attempts allowed to complete an assessment. Failure to pass within these attempts requires re-enrollment in the course, which will incur the full course fee.Extensions
Extensions for RQF Study
There is a process to apply for extenuating circumstances in situations where learners are unable to submit work within the deadlines set. Please follow the guidance in the Extenuating Circumstances Policy. Learners who request extensions for any other reason should make an application within 14 days of the submission date. Extensions are not guaranteed and will be based on the overall progression, engagement, and commitment to the course. For extensions requested after the planned end date of an RQF Diploma, a decision will be based on the overall progression, engagement, and commitment to the course. Should an extension be granted over the expected end date, there is a fee of £300 per 8-week extension period.Certificates
Certificate Issuance
All courses with Care College are certified. Certificates will be issued, electronically, within 7 days of successful completion of training.Certificate Copy Fees
Should learners request a copy of any certificates, the following fees apply:- RQF certificate copies: £25 per certificate
- Other training certificates: £15 per certificate

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Care College shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or related to the use of the website or services.
